DANG that is a sharp looking stove!    Interesting that it has a built in roasting pan type thing (or what ever it is there to the right of the burners).

Monarch called that a surface oven. There was a flat piece of porcelain that covered the well when the oven was not in use. It was like the roaster ovens we discuss with heat coming from underneath and from around the sides for very even cooking results whether you were preparing a large quantity of stew, roasting meat or baking cakes or pies.
