Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Greg is right, John is the "wizard" when it comes to restorations. The machines weren't that perfect when they left the factory!

I love how that machine spells out "DUOMATIC" at the top of the cycle selection buttons. I'll bet the console lights up like a juke-box with all kinds of colors when it is turned on.

Awesome!

Well first of all Todd, that is just an Amazing find! Congrats and I can't wait to see pictures. I hope what ever safety issues over there get cleared up fast so you can get that machine home safe and sound. Please keep us posted. working Philco top loaders are one of the rarest machines around!

I'm sure that Duomatic of John's pictured above was once an Aberdeen farm machine, so you can only imagine what it looked like when he first got it home. All of Johns machines have been restored like no professional could do he is quite talented. Here is an example of John's work:

Me

Steve, are you two hours from me or were you directing that to another member? I would love to have another mini wash-in like when Jason, Art and I got together before Katrina. Jason has moved away, but we still have Art and myself and a handful of machines to play with. Robert, I am thrilled to be able to get this washer. Its funny, because mom and dad related a few Frigidaire stories of years gone by when they had new machines ... at least they are starting to share in the fun, too. Thanks guys for so much kindness & encouragement. One day I will get Bob to my house, too!!!

Wow, beautiful machine and incredible job of restoring. I can only imagine the many hours that went into this. But what a feeling of satisfaction.

I smell a wash-in brewing

Steve, I will definitely keep you in mind. I know that we have Art in my neck of the woods and I believe that we have one or two other Louisiana members that I have not yet met. Will stay in touch and let you know once the Philco has made it home. Todd
