Very interesting video. Is the pre-wash heated? If not how can water in the exchanger receive heat from the pre-wash water?

Yes, the pre-wash is heated to about 104F on all cycles except for ECO - as are the one or two interim rinses when using the turbo mode.

I watched it almost every week when I lived in Bavaria. Very educational...much moreso than US television...
Yeah, I though about what I could compare it to (like Barney or whatever) but couldn't think of anything quite like it.
