I am also disappointed in the washer door design. It doesn't seem that sturdy and also it looks like it could be prown to leaks!

These ads have been running for quite a while on HGTV and maybe Food Network. A friend of mine recently purchased an LG Steam pair and passed on Electrolux due to the "pushbutton" door operation. Well, that and probably the unthinkably high price tag.

The commercial makes the E-lux

look magical.
I don't think the door latch looks any more flimsey than the one on the Whirlpool Steam Duet. They are both plastic. I will grant you the Whirlpool door feels more solid when you swing it, about leaking I don't have any knowledge or experience, but I like the looks of the Lux. The price is rather steep, however.
