I've been seeing more and more when appliances have several color options that when you choose white, the price goes up... in some cases I've seen it as much as going up $200... I just saw a maytag dishwasher that is $559 stainless, but the white was like $700s.. It used to be the opposite. Some models don't even have the color white...but ONLY stainless. Stainless seems to be the cheapest option where white used to be...
Is it because stainless is considered "standard" now where "white" used to be?
