Appliances In a dog kennel

We were invited to visit the new Pet Hotel within our local Petsmart store today. We don't normally like PetSmart as they have dropped a lot of the items we used to buy and have jacked their prices up beyond belief. Buying our dog food from our vet is even cheaper than PetSmart.
The kennel was a very nice and clean facility, but I thought their charges were way high compared to the normal kennel that we use.
Anyway, they had a huge FL washing machine and dryer. They were branded UniMac. The washer was mounted on a concrete base of some kind. Has anyone ever heard of this brand before?
In the kennel's kitchen they had a one rack Hobart dishwasher. The tour guide said it heated the dishes up to 280F. He also said that you don't dare open the front door until the thing has cooled down some or you'll get a face full of steam. They use all SS kennel bowls there. I wonder how long the cycle runs?

Water only heats up to 212F before it boils or becomes steam so I seriously doubt their word about a 280F/rinse.The Hobart commercial dishwashers I used in restaurants and hospitals went to 160F/wash and 180F/rinse to sanitize everyhing.Once in a while ,the wash and rinse temps would fluctuate but rarely went over 200F.

That's what I was thinking about the DW temps. The guy who gave us a tour was really just a teenage kid. So me must have gotten the temps wrong.

What did get me was that he said this was the only time the public could see the kennel spaces. After today the general public will NEVER be allowed to see the place. That kind of goes against my grain. Before I let my dogs stay ANYWHERE I always do a personal inspection of the kennels. If a kennel is happy to take you on a tour, then it's probably operated properly.
There is a kennel near us that is so wretched, I wouldn't take a dead dog in there. It stinks to high heaven before you even walk ih the door. On the desk is a sign "No, we DON'T give tours, don't even ask".....I wonder why?

Maybe that's why they charge so much....

We use a first class kennel when we are out of town and they charge $23 per day for each of our dogs. PetSmart's Pet Hotel charges $37.00 for a smaller kennel run.
Now they do offer filtered water, highly filtered a/c, a quiet environment, etc. BUT unlike the kennel I use, the dogs never leave the building. They have a "potty room" for the dogs to potty in.
The most outrageous thing I saw there was a "Bone Phone" where owners can call their dogs and the kennel attendants will bring their dog to the phone and the owner can talk to the dog. 1 minute for $10.00.
So what I noticed is that while the base fee is $37.00 per day (and higher for large dogs) they have a BUNCH of add ons. Like playtime for 10 minutes at $15.00, delivery of a rawhide chew $5.00. This place could get very expensive very quickly. These are things our regular kennel does for free.
For some reason those UniMac washer/dryer set had kind of a Wascomat look to it. The only controls on the front of it I could see were a temp guage, a round analog cycle progress indicator and a on/off switch.

Uni Mac is the top of the line

on the Alliance family . They are are much like Cissell known and used the world over. The washers lines range from 18 to 250 lbs and Dryer lines from 20 or 25 to 190, They also have a fine line of flatwork ironers..They also make the famous 101 twin tub washers still used in may hotels and car wash laundrys.. And some shirt laudries still use them too.
