As a matter of fact, I DO get a kick from champagne!

Well, from this fabulous "champagne" finish Heywood-Wakefield dining room table and chairs I just picked up this weekend! I had bought it on eBay in August, but because of various delays (like building a garage and picking up vintage dishwashers) I could only get it now. It was well worth the wait - I am now preparing the kitchen renovation project - that 1956 kitchen centre will be in by Christmas with any luck!!

China cabinet

I had picked up the cabinet earlier this year and that's what made me want the rest of the set so badly. The Heywood-Wakefield style is one of my favourites. Think I should re-do the chairs in a turquoise upholstery??

I think it may be the original fabric - four of the chairs still have a plastic covering! How 50's is that??
I am sure this was part of an estate - you wouldn't believe the spiderwebs and dust that were still on the table even after shipping.
