Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

yes, an oxyclean soak would indeed help with difficult soil.. something as short as a half hour might do. you can add detergent to soak if the stains are greasy.

ive had extensive experience with short cycle commercial washers. the low-water Dexter FL really depend on hot water or powerful detergent to get clean stuff. i like tide powder or foca powder. love the performance of Tide, but its too hard to rinse for me. and with those short cycle times you will want to use a generous dose.

dont mix oxyclean with chlorine. they will cancel each other out.

i dont like chlorine bleach and have never used it. properly laundered clothes dont need it, but it can give you whiteness quickly and with little fuss.

Sudsmaster/ and others Use of bleach with Ultra Plus is NOT

in fact it tells you so on the box.
In large bold letters is says"IF disired add bleach 3 or 4 mins after wash cycle had started" most do not. I use Dry chlorine bleach with it most of the time and have results far superior to anything else on the market. And the cost is half of what it is with other products. Most of the time will even beat the commerical products. Also time is a factor here and I can keep the formulas under 40 mins. and the total operations per load at 5 or less. With most of the commerical products we need 8 or 10 operatons and closer if not over a hour. Makes a BIG difference in production lbs/hr.Another savings factor with Ultra Plus is the fact water temps do not need be near as high as with other products to work well. I have found that 125 is the ideal temp to wash in with Ultra Plus. and a 10 min. Bleach . It is also the ONLY detergent that can get the blood out of surgery gowns with out adding anything else in less than 15mins.@ 100 degrees. None of the commerical product can even come close to that.

Had the same problem in upstate NY. Hard water

If you have very hard water in MO that's probably the source of your problem, especially if you use Chlorine Bleach. The bleach causes the iron ions in the water to oxidize(rust) and they deposit as dinge on your clothes. Prewash in cold water, then use hot water. Avoid bleaches of any sort. You may want to install a water softener in this case.
