Hi Vern, two reasons actually, first because I know this show was receiving between one and two million viewers and even if a small percentage of those viewers decided to check the site out it could get very expensive very fast with all the bandwidth heavy pictures and things on the site. More importantly the site has been growing fast with lots of new members and I didn't want any nonsense traffic adding to the membership list of people who have no intention of taking us seriously in any way. I figured if someone is truly interested they would take the time to Google us.
There has definitely been an increase in clicks hitting the site today. We average about 35,000 clicks a day on the Discuss-o-Mat, I just checked and were over 25,000 already and its only 2:30pm central time, you can see there has been an increase, but not such a huge increase as the make a difference in the response time or costs.
