Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

I don't know if taking a number would have helped at the estate sale we had. We went the first morning to see the feeding frenzy and it was SRO inside and out. The place was trampled after 3 days of traffic. And there was no way to control where people went first. So the carpets were blackened due to people first hitting the garage and getting 40 years worth of grease and grime on their shoes and then heading inside. Small price to pay I guess, since the sale brought in $26K. We had the carpets cleaned but some of the stuff wouldn't come up. They'll eventually be replaced once everything is settled and we have bought out my sister's interest. Meanwhile, except for replacing the fridge, stove and laundry pair and changing out some window coverings we are making do with the exisiting situation.

I would think that by metering the customers there would be less shrinkage. The guy who ran our sale was very matter-of-fact about some things leaving the premises without being paid for and it was clear that first morning that it was impossible to keep track of everything and everyone.
