Back In The Saddle Again

I just met with the Rector from my new parish, Christ The King
Episcopal here in Tucson. Meeting went well and I will be joining the Altar Guild after the holidays. Back to washing and ironing communion linens and vestments. I do miss it.
In the meantime, the Rector gave me his cassock-alb which is soaking in the Thor and I will get it washed, ironed, and back to him tomorrow morning.
It is great to be "Back In The Saddle Again".

MickeyD...I had vestments (gowns) that I brought home from my parish at last year's wash in. People had fun washing and ironing them. I have two irons and ironing boards.
Peter....I am working right now on the Rector's cassock-alb...was yellow and dingy....now it is glistening white...

PS...I received greeting card signed by various people at old parish saying that they miss me and need me back but I prefer to stay at my new parish....

Hi Chad....just finished the Rector's cassock-alb...was yellow, dingy, and full of stains....got most but not all the stains out and it is glistening white.....bring it back tomorrow morning....he will look great on Sunday....

ooooh I am so tempted to re-learn ironing after not having touched one since 1985. Ok rare occasions only~ like curtains!
