I like to add this,

Cuffs054, I'm for one am sorry if I added to your worries about your probably upcoming surgery. But my fusion (X2) did help with the sciatic pain in my legs. Unfortunately my L4-L5 vertebrates are rubbing together now and there is not much they can any surgeon can do now. Yes, I have to plan activities around my pain and have had to omit a lot of activities that requires driving, or just being in a car for more than a hour, or even being on jury duty! If you should choice to have surgery, get all the support you can from your family and friends. This will make all the difference in your recovery. Yes, there may be days where you may be depressed;and that normal. If so, don't be afraid to seek out help as well. As for you Wes, after reading your story, I have nothing to complain about!! Thanks for sharing your story as well. I also joined a online back support group, www.backpainsupportgroup.com This may help you vent and learn from other people, like us who are going through the same time. I hope this help you. Thanks for everyone as well on this site for your input.
John
