YAY for Ditry Dishes

HI Greg, that's a wonderful find! I just love the PINK seal and interior. Do I see some plex-glass in your future??? Inquiring minds must know.

Wow Greg, beautiful dishwasher! The interior looks great! And is that the "bowtie" impeller trying to peek out?

Excellent find!

Very Very nice Mobile Maid

This is the machine I grew up with. I had a chance not long ago at one but did not move quick enough. My loss. I would love the same machine in drawer style. This Mobile Maid (attached) is the closest I have come across so far, but it is not the pink interior with the bowtie impeller. Again excellent find, good for you. Michael

It is a bowtie impeller, exactly the same as my grandmother had except hers was a BOL model with a little different styling from the early 60's. I didn't realize this would have pink hoses and cord so I was very excited to see them when I got it home. There will definitely be some plexi-glas in the future of this machine!

Beautiful Machine !

Congrats on the great find! She is absolutely beautiful! I Love the exterior styling and the interior color. ON top of all that, you get pink hoses and cord also!!!! I bet that was a great surprise!

Mobile Maid

Hi Greg, I`m so jeolus! Everything you find is in mint condition! You lucky guy!

I have parts

great find Greg, beautiful machine, I have parts for that if you need them, let me know :)

It works!!

I tried the Mobile Maid last night in the kitchen, the fill hose left a wet spot on the floor so I'll have to replace that, but everything else works perfectly. It was just like I remember at my grandmother's, ROARING water sounds so powerful the machine wiggles when the water is slamming around inside the cabinet!

Dishwasher shaking

My '62 KM 600 TL DW would shake when the Roto Rack was spinning, that's how I knew it was rotating correctly.

The inside is

That interior is just identical to our 1961 GE Undercounter Roll-Out! That pink matched our 1959 GE wall refridgerator.
The wall fridge was a nice idea but a bad execution especially at Thanksgiving.
Our DW roared away so loud everyone left the kitchen while it ran thru the cycle.

The front is beautiful, very jet age! Not Atomic and not Deco.
Congratulations Greg that will be fun but you will have to "wash" all the dishes first. In fact this is the machine that taught me to never collect vintage dishwashers. IT is why I fought Robert and John Lefever about installing ANY vintage DW in my kitchen. In the end they were right and I had no experience with Kitchen Aid! I LOVE MY 1961 KITCHEN AID!!

Ha! My grandmother's Mobile Maid was kept in the laundry room adjacent to the kitchen, turn on the dishwasher and close the door. I was the only one who used it much in later years, I loved the smell of the clean dishes after the cycle was done - chemical clean scent... Nothing like it!

I sure agree with that Greg, you just can't beat that clean scent with just a hint of chorline.
