Back in 2010 I purchased an Admiral Direct Drive washer and matching dryer from Home Depot. I did not intend to immediately unbox them, and I had no idea how long I would keep them in their boxes.

Well, forward now to 2018, and the machines are still in their boxes.

3.2 cu ft washer, 6.5 cu ft electric dryer. Washer was made before the 2011 low-fill rinse / double pressure switch machines that were made just prior to the end of full size direct drive production.

I am thinking these machines should be passed along now to someone who will value them for what they are, yet use them. They have been sitting in storage, still boxed. I even left the packet of Tide in the washer. I have too many machines to enjoy, so I am selectively going to post some as available over the next few weeks and months, starting with these.

Please contact me if you are interested. They will need to be picked up in Charlotte, NC.

Had that washer in my Townhome:

When we first moved in. Did not get much good time with it as it had been beaten up by previous owners and I bought my Speed Queen FL set 1.25years later. They work well but the washer is a bit rough on delicates as it is single speed. Can't speak for the dryer as there was a POS Norgetag in the house. I'm sure the matched WP built dryer is 10x better. I Know my SQ dryer is.
These machines would be great for anyone who does not wash a lot of delicates and were some of the last before WP TL washers went down the sewer.

"2 Speed Combinaions" is a lie.

We had the Roper version for a time, it just thrashes your delicates for a short time then soaks then thrashes again then soaks again.
