Allen is here visiting and we went to see it today too. I thought it was an excellent movie. Some parts are hard to watch, and it's the first time I've cried at a movie (several times in fact) in a long time. But it was very well done, and I think if it does well at the Oscars, that will send a message that really needs to be sent.
BTW, I think we were the only gay people in the theater. Several middle aged straight couples, and many senior citizen women. I saw several of them leaving the theater while waiting for Allen to come from the restroom, and I could tell they had been crying, too.
