Roger -

Just so the post doesn't get buried, mom11 has responded to your posting in the "WTB Pink Stove" thread - she had Internet problems that prevented an earlier response.

Here's a link - I hope you and she can work something out:

thank you, thank you , thank you

Thank you, so much danemodsandy for doing this. I am waiting and hoping. I hope I didn;t miss out because of stupid Comcast. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...too bad there's no such thing as a "vintage internet provider"! Because then there would be a shot at a reliable one.

Come to Mamma Beulah, ol' girl... :)

Thank you, Thanks

Still waiting... Our internet has been off more than on. Comcast just informed us that it will be off intermittently this week for "updates". Guess who is switching to a local provider as soon as they can get their trucks out here. The fellas over there have been overwhelmed by the new business. Kinda makes my heart swell to see the local mom and pops getting a good turn. Shoulda gone with them to begin with.

I've heard!

I've heard back from Roger about Beulah. He is traveling and will work out the details when he gets back from his trip. Thank you so much,y'all for helping with the pinking of my kitchen. Can. Not. Wait. :)

Lisa:

This is what we do around here.

You should see what others have done for me - this little bit of connection is nothing compared to the chain of friendship that brought my range to me:

What a

Great story about how your range came to you, Sandy. Just beautiful, she is, too. I've not seen one like that before. Pretty sooped up. Glad you got your dream machine. Have you posted pics of her in your kitchen? I bet your kitchen looks like something with all your vintage stuff in it. Need to see your Radarange, too.

Lisa:

Here's a link to the "After" thread on my GE range. She took a bit of doing, but she came up almost like new.

I only picked up my new Radarange last night - she's still in the back of my Tahoe. As she gets the spa treatment, I will post photos, complete with her instruction manual and her Corning-manufactured browning dish.

Signing on for the first time in 2 weeks...

3500+ mile road trip to Denver and back... whew! Sandy, we went "by" you on I-80 yesterday. We originally hoped to stop in Iowa City for the night on Thursday as we like it, the daughter lived there for a few years, but only made it to Newton (no more Maytag there?), then we had to be in Cleveland Ohio last night, and just "home" to NY 2 hrs ago... and the first place I look after 2 weeks is here!

So... Mom11 has been in communication and we hope she can be the next steward of "Beulah", we next need to put her in contact with Jackie D for shipping... Thanks all y'all for the heads-up-s... ya gotta just love this place... stay tuned!

Would have absolutely loved to have stopped by, Sandy...

and we know your area a bit as extended family lives near Denver (the one outside of WaterLOO) but our time was so short: 6 days of driving for only 5 days in Denver CO, frankly, it was just nuts! We had a bunch of Depression glass and some furniture to take out which wasn't really feasible to ship... but next time we fly!

Thanks again for helping to facilitate the connection!

I Can Tell....

....That you're really familiar with this area - hearing someone say "WAH-ter-loo" marks them immediately as an outsider.

To those of us who live here, it's "WaterLOO," as you noted. That other pronunciation is reserved for French history students at UNI.

Ya I made that mistake the first time...

that we visited Kathy & Tom there, and was promptly instructed on the correct local pronunciation. VT has some like that too, like where we lived, Charlotte is Cha-LOTTE, and Calais comes across as Cal-is.

They took us once to a great bar/bbq place, kind of a hole in the wall, but great food. Also they had more Indigo Buntings at their bird feeder than I've ever seen in my life!
