Hello everybody. I have been using the Cascade complete all-in-1 dishwasher detergent in the citrus breeze scent. I have questions about the citrus breeze scent. What year did this scent come out? Is this their orange scent or is it a mixture of citrus fruit smells? How effective is it? When did Cascade incorporate Dawn into the Cascade complete all-in-1 dishwasher detergents? This is my favorite scent of all time and is highly effective. Has Cascade used safety caps on their liquid detergents or did the use a flip top cap at one time? Mine has the orange cap on it. Green bottle with the orange twist/lock safety cap. Is it true that it was their premium dishwasher detergent at the time the citrus breeze scent came out or was there another one of their detergents that had better cleaning power. What was the point of the citrus breeze scent? What did consumers look for? What experience did you have with this dishwasher detergent and scent? I'd like to know. Thanks everybody.

Never used this but I have two thoughts.  I don't think there is actually any DAWN in this product since Dawn is a liquid dish detergent that would cause too much suds.  Instead I think the package may say with the power of Dawn so as to imply it is effective for grease removal.  Now if it has some of the same ingredients as Dawn without the sudsy surfactants -  can't say.

The scent?  It is most likely a variation of one of their existing scents just slightly modified - toned down or increased.   I have discovered that P&G renames their scents so that you think you are buying something new  at least for their fabric softeners,  so it could be that also.

grease fighting power of dawn

So I guess dawn came out with an automatic dishwasher detergent until they combined it with Cascade. Correct? Back to citrus breeze with the cascade complete. Has anybody else on this discuss-o-mat used this product or is it just me? I noticed at one time it was called orange/citrus if I'm not mistaken.

Cascade

"Dawn" was added slowly in markets, within between late 2006, and early 2007. The new breakthrough, is they we're adding more sodium hydroxide into Cascade allowing a stronger grease fighting action to the product.

There was never actually any Dawn in the product, per say. However Americans really liked Cascade, and Dawn was very popular, so "combining" the two... helped promote both brands and inspired more sales.

Cascade Lemon Gel was the most purchased Dishwasher Detergent, in the country at the time. However, 2nd behind was store brands. Adding the "Dawn" inspired more sales, and helped drive more brand loyalty.

Citrus Breeze. That's been available since Cascade Complete was introduced in early 2001.

Although back in 2003, P&G begin adding scents to their (non-complete) Gel Variety as well.
