Oh crud.... The I Love Lucy episode was in Season 3 IIRC.  Dammit - all the DVDs are down in Ogden.

If they like, they can use my YouTube channel.

Roseanne had a "wheat" colored 1-18 set, it's the refrigerator that was Poppy!

I have posted screen captures from some episodes here but I don't know which they are!

See posts 102-102-104 in this thread, unfortunately, I don't have the episode numbers...

I don't have many pictures of my own collection posted here but they are free to use whatever they want from the pics on my Flickr account.

I Love Lucy

Maybe they're referring to Lucy's stacked Westinghouse duo that was in their kitchen? It was in several episodes. The one I remember best is where Lucy and Ethel are eating eggs in the Ricardo kitchen, and come up with the idea to raise chickens for profit. It was when they were in Connecticut. I don't remember any CT episodes that show Lucy actually "doing" laundry.

I Love Lucy: "Never Do Business With Friends"

Season 2; Episode #66

Aired: June 29, 1953

This is the episode in which Fred and Ethel purchase the Ricardos' washing machine which malfunctions, spewing water and clothes all over the Mertzes kitchen. The machine winds up going over the balcony as the two couples fight over who owns it.[this post was last edited: 9/16/2015-23:30]

I Love Lucy

The I Love Lucy episode featuring the washing machine is "Never Do Business With Friends." This episode aired during their second season after Little Ricky was born. Lucy wants a new washer and dryer to deal with all the baby's laundry. The Ricardos sell their old washing machine to the Mertzs and it erupts in their kitchen. The episode originally aired on 6-29-53.

I remember the Partridge family having a 1969 kenmore set with the slant controls. Good heavens that's been a long time ago. There was one episode mrs. Partridge was carrying some folded clothes out of the laundry room, only caught a glimpse of it.

I Love Lucy

In season six, "Lucy Raises Chickens," there are a couple of glimpses of Lucy's Bendix set at around 3:04 to about 3:06 into the show's first act. This is the scene where Betty Ramsey enters the kitchen as Ricky is having a near tantrum after being reminded about the $3000+ that Lucy spent on new furniture.

There are commercials to deal with at the beginning, though.

If memory serves me correctly, there was an episode on leave it to beaver where one of his friends uses the family washer and overflows it with soap too. I also remember that in the early my three sons show that William Frawley was in, they had a Frigidaire washer. I also remember a father knows best episode where they had what appeared to be perhaps an old launder all washer or something that looked like it.

I even remember an old episode of Superman where they had a very classic looking Hamilton washer and dryer set.

"Betty Draper's" Maytags in "Mad Men"
"Annie Potts' had a Kenmore in "Jumping Jack Flash". "Cher" had a Kenmore in "Mask". "Mia Farrow's" slant front Westinghouse in "Wait until Dark".
"Goldie Hawn" had a Maytag in" Night shift" and also in "Overboard".
"Beverly Hillbillies" and "I love Jeanie" had Maytag's.
"Green Acres" Maytag combo.
Vintage Whirlpools in docufilm. "Mother Takes a Holiday". Kenmore combos in "Mommie Dearest".
I doubt they want additional suggestions, but the production team may not notice things "We" do. Best of Luck with the film. -A

I remember that My Three Sons episode where the washer makes a funny noise and rocks around and then a wheel rolls out across the kitchen floor. Unfortunately, there was no further development of that plot line.

The Partridge Family had a 65 Lady Kenmore Combo next to another machine. The Kenmore Combo was in brown. I don't recall if they used it as a washer or dryer. I have a picture of it on my phone. It was out in their garage.

Mia Farrow was not in Wait Until Dark

It was Audrey Hepburn……….. and Goldie Hawn’s washer in Overboard is a Whirlpool…also in the episode where the Partridges are trying to conserve energy they have a Philco Bendix Pair from the late 60’s in the basement next to the freezer. You see them when they are cleaning out disconnecting the freezer to save energy…PAT COFFEY

Appliguy, Thank You! Yes Audrey Hepburn. However in Overboard both the wringer and the automatic washer presented to her while in bed are Maytag. It was a Maytag automatic after the timers moved to the right with a black panel. -A

Bewitched's second episode featured that classic Maytag washer and Dryer set (one all pushbuttons and one with a dial) and that Whirlpool dishwasher with the window in the door.

Roseanne and Meryl Streep's "She Devil" featured two vintage sets: a coppertone 70's Filter-Flo set in the house she blows up and an improbably ordinaire Hotpoint set in Mary Fisher's seaside mansion. The production designers should have supplied a pink set for that character.

Vera Donovan had a very MOL Kenmore set featured in a flashback in "Dolores Claiborne".

Jeannie screws up the wash spectacularly in a spectacular turquoise early A806 Washpower set in a 2nd season episode where she gives up her powers for 1 week

Let us not forget the Webmaster's Unimatic set featured prominently in "Mona Lisa Smile".

That wonderful romp through a field of Maytags by Dick Van Dyke in "What a Way to Go" with Shirley MacLaine.

Jerry Lewis destroying an entire working appliance department in "Who's Minding the Store?"

There's two shots of a 1960 GE Custom-4 Cycle Pull-out dishwasher in "Capote" with Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

There was also a turquoise Rollermatic prominently featured in an episode of "Gidget" that someone did an entire post with.

Tom and Jerry always had a front loader convenient for cat-humiliation.

Hop, Hop, Hop to Hoppers!

It's not like I need a reason beyond the film's own merits to watch "What a Way to Go" yet again, but now that I've been reminded about the Maytags,  I'll have to watch for them.

Didn't somebody mention an interesting machine sighting in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?"

Jon, are any of these posts actually helping the cause?
