Hiya Darren

Use to be a taboo in my parents house to do laundry on a holiday....

but here now...I got 4 sets going....dogs blankets, whites soaking, dark towels, and jeans.....next will be the kids clothes, and a few comforters.....

while also preparing dinner....2 roasters with turkeys, a ham in the oven, several steamers with veggies, mac and cheese in the convection....plus a few more side dishes....dinner is at 4.....rather being doing the wash than having relatives here, less stress.....

enjoy your holiday!

Maybe a load of whites in the Miele 1918 at 180F cottons program. 1:47, 47 minutes of wash with 5 high water level rinses in 80F water with good extraction after each rinse beginning with the 2nd one, final spin at 1600rpm. Wash products scant 2 TBS powder Tide HE and STPP. I will probably dry it in one of the 1951 electric dryers with an ozone lamp.

We still have deep snow on the ground and it's still white. With the fog that rolled in, it almost looks like it is snowing again.

Happy Holiday Wishes To All.

I washed my casual shorts,t shirts, pullover shirts, socks, undershirts in warm water wash,Gain liquid ,no bleach, cold rinse and softner.

on Christmas Day i had to wash swim wear and swim towels in the Miele as we had forgotten to do this after being at the beach on Christmas Eve. Since we were heading to a house with a pool for lunch i figured i should freshen it up.

Everyday is Christmas

At least when it comes to laundry!

In some cases, laundry may be taboo on a holiday. but hey, its' my house, my laundry room; and MY laundry! Besides, why should I deny myself the pleasure when there are MANY times I'd rather be doing laundry, but can't?

In my busy life, I guess what it really comes down to is PRIORITIES!

That being said,here goes:

While multi-tasking around the house, I did a load of darks in an LG front-load (Tromm). Using Woolite for darks, the load consisted of:

Dark print (Poinsettia)holiday tablecloth from my bistro table, located on my front porch.
Two pairs W-N-W slacks.
Three pillow cases.
One polo shirt.
one undershirt.
Three "handi-wipe" type rags.
three pairs socks.
Three linen napkins.
One long-sleeve undershirt.

While those washed on "Perm-Press" normal soil, I swept pine-needles from the front porch carpeting, before going over it with my Kenmore Progressive upright with HEPA filtration.'Cleaned kittys' litter box, spoke with neighbors, telephoned another; and, of course; watched the wash-ACTION here n there.

That was all before noon.

Happy Holidays TO ALL,

-Russell

There is no way I would be allowed to do any washing on Christmas day so nothing here done yesterday. Now it's boxing day I have the tablecloths from the Christmas dinner tables in the 3060 on a boil wash. Will keep have to checking it though as the timer is knackered and it keeps sticking.

Currently have 2 laundry bins full to the top with loads on top covering both bins (very very behind on the laundry) so loads to get through.

Mark

I didn't do any laundry on Christmas day, but.....

I did wash three loads simultaneously at about 4pm on Christmas Eve. I had a house full of guests about an hour later and I wanted the wash out of the way, so for the first time ever I think, I had three Kenmores running at once. I found out that it's visual and auditory overload for me to enjoy them all at once!!

Two loads of darks using Cheer powder and a load of whites using Tide w/Bleach powder. It sounded like an old-time belt-drive laundromat around here.

I wasn't home to do any wash on Christmas day, but my Mom ran hers and I didn't even notice while I slumbered on the sofa.

Am about to go run another load now.
