Finally got the lights up on the front of the house. Half of my icicle lights don't work, so I'll have to buy more before I can do the back of the house for the passing boat traffic. Hard to find LED lights around here for some reason, the few I've found are so expensive its not worth buying them for energy cost savings, only for durability. So, I guess I'll be dealing with cheap junk that only lasts one to two years for yet another year.

Very nice

I agree -- it's perfect, and you didn't overdo it.

Speaking of overdone Christmas lights, more than umpteen years ago I saw a mindless movie with this plot -- nice Jewish boy becomes nouveau-riche, marries a goy girl, builds a trophy home in the suburbs, and then sends the limo out to pick up Mom for the holiday party. When the limo driver pulls into the circle drive, the Mom takes one look at all the garish Christmas lights and says, with the perfect tone of deadpan disgust, "Oh...I just want to spit up." What was the movie???
