Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I gave myself a parking spot...

...in my garage for my pickup. A very good friend from way back in the mid 70's came to visit me from Arizona. I have not seen him for over 10 years. He's a car nut and has a 60's Cadillac he is currently working on. He is experiencing some "cash flow" problems although he works full-time for the same company for many years. I signed over the title to the 57 Thunderbird that's been in my garage since 2003 and had it sent to him. He's going to spruce it up and sell it. If I told him to keep all the proceeds he wouldn't so I'll accept 10% of what he gets which I'm sure I'll get static about. This is not one of those beautiful 100% restored vehicles that you see at car shows but it is very nice with a pricey rebuilt engine. I am so greatful to get that blasted car out of my garage. I hated it from day 1 but bought it anyway from a neighbor who has since passed away. Over the years either the inside of the car has gotten smaller or I got a litle bigger. Oddly enough I have a Corvette that has developed the same problem. Now when it gets to be 120 in the summer I don't have to worry about my poor truck melting in the driveway.

trust me...fun to look at but a nightmare to drive

1996, 23K miles, fun to drive, but old men don't look good in sportscars, convertibles either. My mid-life crisis ended years ago. I eventually woke up and smelled the decaf.

I loved reading your replies; I have bought so many things from the thrift stores this year, I consider those the presents under the tree…including many 70's stereos, integrated systems, RCA Colortrak 2000, and a cluster of speakers, and many small kitchen appliances. I found and repaired or refurbished more than a half dozen pieces of teak furniture(Made in Denmark bookcases, entertainment units, large coffee table). It would be fun to post photos of these things that were so much fun to find, but as they say, less is more. Maybe there'll be another "Thrift Finds" thread for that…meanwhile, I'm excited for all of you in your finds, especially the cars. I have been w/o a vehicle for 2 long years, just one in the family right now we use…and 212K miles. Love the X5's , the dinnerware, and health is the best gift of all.

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah…or BONZI ! to all of you who posted or are just reading this.

Phil
