I have a GE (Wal-mart) stainless steel waffle iron that I bought back in 2008. I know, not vintage, but it makes a great waffle. I am wondering how to clean it. The outside is stainless steel and looks cloudy. I usually wash and wipe the outside with a damp cloth after using, but the finish is still cloudy. Any ideas?

Sometimes I wish still had my grandmother's Sunbeam waffle iron that made four at the time, that was a nice one!

what the inside?

Just curious... teflon?
I had like three of them One bought brand new from Nordic ware.. Later found two at thrift stores. They are the stovetop model and work wonderful. BUT BUT since they are teflon or whatever inside I stopped using them. I even had an elect model with alum looking removable insides....
them went to "fahita" type cast iron"skillets" and flipped those over onto a plain small cast iron..workd great stove top
so now that before I wouldnt eat eggs, that why ate my homemade waffles...gluten free mixtures sp made with almond meal....yummmmmm
Now got running around feathered girls now eat eggs
