Cleaning moisture sensing strips on a Whirlpool dryer

I just bought a used Whirlpool Duet dryer (Made in 2005). I am expecting it to be full of lint when I vacuum it out but I know some of you seem to think another issue with these dryers is that dryer sheets coat the moisture sensing strips on them and I was wondering if one of you could tell me how to clean them off, just a wet washcloth? or would I need some kind of cleaner to scrub it with? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Rubbing alcohol is workable as a solvent.

A moist "heavy duty" scouring pad removes every conceivable build up, not only FS.

I use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol on a paper towel or rag. Since I descale the washer and DW on a quarterly basis with citric acid, another quarterly maintenance task is to clean the moisture sensor. Another stratagem I use is to tear my dryer sheets into thirds. I only use 1/3 of a sheet at a time. This saves $$$, it's enough to eliminate static cling, and in theory should result in less waxy build-up on the sensor, since I"m using the smallest amount of sheet that works for me.
