The husband of the lady that babysat my sister and me had a Pontiac that looked a lot like the red '48 model shown above, except theirs was a dark blue. If it was a '48, the color would have been Mariner Blue. That series was made for '42, and again from '46 - '48.

My former (now deceased) neighbors Thelma & Nelson had a '57 Mercury station wagon like in the ad, but it wasn't a Colony Park. It was white, with a small red area where the white is on the blue one. They had this vehicle when they moved in across the street in '59.

In '72, I was visiting my Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Margaret in Los Angeles. I went with my uncle to the Ford dealer, and he purchased a new Gran Torino wagon, in Bright Green Gold Metalic (no woodgrain).
