I am waiting for my w4842 to finish it's first "wash"(running a sanitary cycle as recommended)and noticed that the detergent drawer is popping open. I did a bit of reading and saw it was a common problem. Has anyone else here run into this issue( my google search came up with another website, not this one, and I don't subscribe to that website) thank you in advance!

The usual (from what I recall) remedy suggested on The Laundry Room Forum is that Miele will replace that yellow clip that holds the dispenser in. Contact Miele and they might send you the thing for free.

I will be giving them a call tomorrow morning. I knew that there was a risk that this particular model of washer could have that flaw, I was simply hoping that it wouldn't happen with MY unit. It sounds like it grinds a bit when it first starts up, so I will ask them about that as well. I thought it may be heat related, but it isn't. I closed the drawer during the final rinse, and it inched back open. Thank you for your response!
