Oh that's interesting to know as I always thought they were liberal minded lol The appeal of there detergent was that there was no fillers in them hence why I tried it.

Well I am self proclaimed Atheist so there views wouldn't mix with mine. Gave up religion when I was 12 lol They sell good products but like you say they are a bit old fashioned.

In the UK we have Ariel in wash boosters, identical to the Tide ones you have apart from the liquid portion is a different colour. There are two versions, one for normal laundry and one for whites. I use the one for whites on my whites, I really like them.

Yeah you don't see Persil bringing out add on products do you. I think Ariel Ultra/Futur was better than what we have now personally. Seemed to tackle stains better.

Have A Stash Of Both Scented and Unscented Tide "Vivid&#

Boosters.

Use them as one does the soon to be depleted and discontinued Spray n Wash "Pink" tablets. That in loads when using vintage or other detergents that lack enzymes and or oxygen bleach. For this purpose they work rather well in added the extra "oomph" to get things clean.

While not really needed with a good activated oxygen bleach and enzyme containing powder detergent such as Persil or Tide, the purpose of these pods is mainly for use with liquid or gel detergents that do not contain bleaches. Tide has adverts showing a bottle of Tide "Vivid" + the stain booster packets. The small amount of washing soda some of these pods contain is just enough to boost the pH level of wash water (alkaline) to provide better cleaning of some soils and stains. Again this is mostly for liquid detergents that tend to be near neutral.

With liquid or gel detergents almost totally replacing powders in some markets you can understand the need for this sort of product.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but didn't Ariel Ultra/Futur contain phosphates too? I don't remember the blue logo only except on Handwash powder.

Oh in that case Ariel been using zeolites for some years then before Persil. Sodium tripolyphosphate was in Persil colour tablets and Persil Bio with the gel when they were first launched but now are completely zeolite.
