did anyone see 30 days last night?

For those who dont know, this show puts someone in another persons shoes for 30 days in an effort of exposure.

Tonite they put a Michigan College graduate who firmly believes that homosexualality is wronged by the bible and GOd into a 30 day living situation in The Castro in San Fran. MY Lord he was a hottie.

He didnt change his mind or belief system but he did make new friends and managed to to dance half naked at a gay bar. Very nice man and amazing that he was so opened inspite of his up bringing.

I remember it from 2005 also. In addition to the bar hopping, I think he talked with some gay clergy and other gay people about being gay. It seems that some people would rather believe what they have been told by bigoted religious leaders than believe what they see in the lives of those they have been taught to hate because it gives them grounds to hate people who are different and that is very satisfying to some people. If these people who quote the Bible in support of intolerance were as ready to castigate adulterers or those who cheat people or oppress workers or do not keep the Sabbath; Oh, wait, they even moved it to another day, except for a couple of Christian denominations and it is a big shopping day so never mind that one, their persecution of homosexuals would seem less like the majority getting away with hating a minority. We will see how important this issue is in their lives when they can barely afford food or energy to keep themselves warm in the coming winters, to say nothing of being able to buy gasoline and afford medical care. I have no doubt that will somehow come to be used as ammo against homosexuals also; the Nazis pinned the blame on the Jews for the same conditions. Maybe, if they can't drive to church and have to spend most of their time chopping down trees to heat their houses, they will have less time and energy to hate and certainly less money to support their preachers when charities will need so much more help. Who knows; maybe if they volunteer to help others, they might just find themselves working beside gay people in various organizations and might learn more from the experience than this dumb kid.

He was alright....

he wasent that hot...My boyfriend josh who i met in hollister is cuter i love him so much and hes comming with me this summer on a family vacation but yah i saw that i thik its non of anyone's business to tell them who they should get married to, this is 2008 and its time to cahnge some rules around and make every one feel comphortable in there own country whather they are gay, straight, bisexual,....or even zebra you stil human and you deserve all your rights just my 21 cents there
