Maybe that certain person would like to admit it and appologize before Glenn posts the IP addresses. We all know how easy it is to figure out IP addresses and who they belong to.

In case you want to see the IP address of any post in the Discuss-o-Mat, from the menu at the top of Internet Explorer select view...source. Then search (control+F) for the word POSTER_IP.

And few hits on 6/7.

The date/time is the exit from the chat room. The next number is the elapsed time in the room in seconds. Subtract the elapsed time from exit time to determine the time of entrance. For example, "mattywashboy" entered at 8:16:16, was in for 4 seconds, exited at 8:16:20.

The locations cited are simply to where the IPs trace. This doesn't necessarily reflect the physical location of the person, it may be the equipment location of the ISP. But it is or should be in the general vicinity. Except AOL always traces to Reston, VA.

Anyone can use any nickname in chat. Do not assume that a name in chat is the person known by that name elsewhere.

I don't want to be beating a dead horse here, but I just want everyone to know that the Chatroom Phantom was NOT Erik/ErkJoey. Is there some other Erik on the board? Not that I think it's he, either. I mean, why sign on as yourself after impersonating two other people?

Just to repeat, the perp was NOT Erik/ErkJoey. I believe he was at the Tucson washin? Anyone who was there should be able to vouch for him.
