A Happy Easter to you all, we usually get together at Alistairs for the holiday gathering but alas this year with Covid19 virus pandemic and lockdown this was not possible, so at the last minute we thought "Why not do a virtual meetup" so how would that work, well instead of having a vidcam 24/7 we asked the gang to simply take video clips and pictures of their weekend. "And here are the results - 10 Points" as Eurovision would say !!

We met up over Zoom and planned what we would do etc and how it might work out, funny thing was its usually me documenting the actual wash-ins so collating footage from 18 as it turned out was very interesting indeed ha ha...
and hats off to you all, the videos and pictures are fantastic !!

If we didnt ask you to join us this time we certainly will for the next, the logistics of collating , sorting etc where huge, far more than I originally anticipated and am so glad we kept it small to try the concept out,
but fear not there will be more to come and perhaps members all over can start their own mini virtual meets ?

Friday evening we usually meet up and land at Alistairs, so its usually pizza & wine and thats what we did above, only difference we where all sat in front of a computer for the virtual look !!

So next morning it was "Early to rise" by the trusty Teasmade, filmed here by Louis (foraloysius), breakfast courtesy of the vintage Kenwood Chefs juicing, Hoover, Tefal, Bosch & Dualit Toasting, Russell Hobbs percing the coffee
and Hoover making the tea and the trusty Roberts Radio for company

The Ascot is bursting to life to heat the water with Darren , washers are being wheeled into place by the sinks with Ian, Richard & Mathew, plumbing jobs are being worked out by Steve, Alistair is busy scrubbing the patio with the Hoover scrubber / polisher,
Leon is down at his new washroom, Mikey is washing the car, Nathan`s in the garage using the Malleys, Mother Superior in Boston is using the Frigidaire, Kevin is priming the Kenmores, John & Jason busy in the warehouse and Daves in his Sheffield greenhouse and everyone else is "Getting Ready"..

Its "Repairs r Us" for a lot of you, oiling the gearbox in the Hotpoint 1400 twinny for Richard in Medomsley, checking out the Bendix LT filter for Darren in Lincoln, Steve is getting to grips with Hotpoint toploader repairs in South East London,
and the Miele is getting the once over with Jamie in Newcastle

Video 2 features the English Electric twin tub with exclusive brush filter from 1966 refurbished by Darren in Lincoln, Leon updating us on his new washroom projects, Jon & Saj in Lincoln get started with the first load in the Ariston,
Alistair gets programming the Hoover Keymatics from the 60`s, Richard getting under the bonnet for an oil top up, Spin Dryers courtesy of Alistair and Jeff & Cal in California,

Meanwhile David is watering his greenhouse plants in Sheffield and milling flour in the Kenwood A901 mixer, Kevin is running through his washers in California and its Hotpoint central with filter-flows by Darren & Richard !!

Well its time for the cooks to get out the Kenwoods, Thermomix, Frigidaire Flairs and Moulinex mixers to whip up a selection of biscuits, pizzas, cakes, mars bar choccy fudge cake, golden nut brittle and scones..

Morning washday and video number 3 has us entertained with classic Zanussi from the Appliance of Science, testing out the new spin can seal on the Hotpoint twintub, the Parnall Spinwashser semi automatic top loader spins to life,
Classic Bosch front loaders with that distinctive ramp up spin, and a visitation from "Mother Superior" himself from Boston advancing sales of his Frigidaire front loader.

Well I think its time for a cuppa after all that work...Mark provided a fabulous 70`s tray of dazzle, colour and much needed choccy digestives !!

Hoover boiled the water as well as Russell Hobbs and Swan along with coffee pots percing away...Kenwood made the biscuits & Warburtons gave us the crumpets.

Video 4 sees Steve (SESteve) update us on the repairs, Darren (Slowspin66) gives us a demonstration on the English Electric Wash & Rinse wringer washer, renovated by himself, these where the backbone of many British kitchens.
Jamie in Newcastle Washes Whiter with Ariel & his Miele washer & dryer. Steve finally gets chance to whip up suds in the Servis prototype, and only one in the world Supertwin and Hoovermatic twinny. Jon (LavamatJon) loads up the Zanussi Jetsystem.

After all that washing its "More Cake Vicar" and here we see Dave from Sheffield take us through the steps to making a delicious (virtual yum test) "Sheffield Sustainable Gooseberry Cake,
the flour is milled by his trusty Kenwood A901 Chef table mixer, how smooth does it sound milling the wheat flour !!

And onto video 5 of our virtual weekend experience, Mathew (3203) takes us through washing with his AEG Lavalux twintub, featuring copper spin drum and a turbulator set into the base with a powerful 2.7kw water heater,
also showing us the handy metal tool to remove the heater shield and pulsator for inspection & cleaning.

Darren runs a mixed load through the 1966 Bendix LT washer dryer, observe the nifty use of beefed up suspension, with an extra bolt you can slide in an extra shock absorber, if only we could do that on others ha ha.

Alistair shows the Servis Quartz computer controlled front loader from 1982, with simple one touch programming and press button door release !!
