ELECTROLUX DISHWASHER WITH WINDOW

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I would love to see American dishwashers with a window. Is it a big secret what goes on in a dishwasher or is it that nobody is curious to see how it works? I guess alot of people these days are just "set it and forget it"

My guess is that most people don't wish to look at the dirty dishes as they accumulate in the racks. Would be fun to watch the machine in action, though.

While I would love to watch the action of the dishwasher, I would not want to look at the nasty, smeary, gooey mess of the dirty dishes all running down that window, since we run the dishwasher only when there is a full load. One of those hi-tech windows that would stay opaque until you run the machine would be AWESOME!!!

I love dishwashers with windows ever since I saw one in the kitchen in one of my aunts when I was 6. I think it was a Constructa, but I'm not sure about that. This one looks nice, but I really hate that it doesn't prerinse before the main wash nor does it have a separate prerinse cycle. I guess prerinsing by hand is mandatory. Not!

The way those machines dose the detergents into the water is quite interesting. They have a cup in the centre of the top basket. It's not the normal enclosed cups found on normal dishwashers that open at a particular point in the cycle. I'm not 100% sure if they can actually do a prewash at all!

That being said, they're getting excellent reviews in terms of their cleaning performance.

All they would need to do is put a roller shade blind either on the front of the window or built into the window so that you could close it and not see inside if you didn't wish to.

There is also a video on youtube of this dishwasher in action.

I noticed that you put wooden spoons in your machine. I don't do that anymore. I did that once and somehow the spoon ended up on the bottom of the dishwasher, touching the heating element. I smelled smoke as the dishwasher was running, opened it up and smoke billowed out. Luckily I caught it on time before any damage was done to the machine or anything else.

In this dishwasher the heating element is hidden under the tub so u can put also plastic items in the lower rack without fire hazard.

Mr Zanussi

Interesting...

The cutlery basket does not look like standard Electrolux / Zanussi designs. It looks more like a Hoover / Candy design.
