Today in the belgian newspapers published a test from testaankoop (the belgian official independent testing agency)tested some washing detergents and their performance in cooler water (20°C 68°F).
Both where powders specially made to wash in cold water. None of them washed as good as the loads done in warm water (+/- 40°C 104°F) As we know here for all those years. Temperature does matter when doing laundry!
Cold water washes had an extra 5min of washtime All machines where programmed to use the same washtime, number of rinses, spins.
