It is true, Terry touched everyone he met with his kind heart and gentle, loving soul.   Those friends and family here who knew him are just devastated, I will never forget the despair and loss in my mother's voice when I had to tell her the news this morning.   He was truly loved by all of us.

He meant so much to so many, it's difficult to put into words the loss and sadness we all carry with us.

I am so shocked and saddened by the news

I met Terry at the Tuscon Wash-in in 2007.

We have remained email friends since.

He and Rick visited New Britain Ct about two years ago to do research at Landers, Frary and Clark in New Britain.

He came to my restaurant(formerly The Silo in Farmington), and the next day, we had a great dinner at my house before he and Rich finished their research.

Terry

R.I.P. my dear friend

I have not communicated with him via this site, but I have seen his postings.

Looking at his photos on here and aw.Vacuumland make me feel even more sad, seeing pictures of a once very alive man.

Terry, you and your family and all close friends are in my prayers tonight.

God bless.

Oh no Robert... this saddens me SO much to hear this!   I'm here at work and just saw this thread, what horrible news.

As I was reading, then looking at the photos I was brought to tears as well.   I then saw the photo of Terry with holding the box of Tide with the hair dryer attachment on his head which brought a smile and made me chuckle.

I was fortunate enough to have met Terry at the Wash-In you & Fred hosted in May 2010.   What a wonderful, gentle, caring sole he was, just a wonderful, wonderful man, I loved him instantly!    I had kept in contact with him since and was just thinking it was time to check in again.

My heart goes out to everyone who knew Terry and especially you and Fred.   Thank you for breaking your own rule, Terry would really appreciate it!

Sincerely,

Kevin

Devastating news! Terry was a wonderful, kind, and loving person! He was one of the first few people that I connected with in person from this site. I will always remember how kind and helpful he was! My strongest memory of him was at the Tucson wash-in loading dishes into 3 different KitchenAid dishwashers and chatting away with me! He will be sorely missed. I wish that I had the opportunity to spend more time with him.

Awwwww I am so sorry to hear of this news! I do wish I could have met Terry, I have heard so many wonderful things about him. Please pass my condolences to his family and other friends for me. Robert and Fred, my heart goes out to you two. Losing a close friend like that is just as painful as losing a family member. I always have an open ear and a cyber-shoulder for you if you or anyone for that matter needs it. XOXO
