Hello.
I have an Eaton's Viking 8 washer from 1989 (as close as I can tell), and an Eaton Viking dryer from 1990 (again, as close as I can tell).
These units seem to be private labeled Filter Flo units.
I took the top off the washing machine to repair rust, which unfortunately meant I had to remove the wiring.
When I installed the wiring, I second guessed myself and seem to have caused some problems.
The washer fills with water, but the timer does not run.
If I manually advance the timer I can get the machine to spin for a couple seconds, but i will not do anything else.
I bought the machines used and the schematics are missing.
Any help would be great as no one around here knows about these units.

Welcome to the site!  I am a big fan of older Viking appliances of all kinds myself!

I don't have anything in the way of documentation for a washer of this era, but if there is still a Camco website running (it may be under Mabe Canada now) perhaps you might find some information there.   I hope you will be able to find what you are looking for!

Thank you turquoisedude.
I'm hoping that someone has a unit around the same vintage with their information in tact that they could send me a picture.
Or maybe someone is working on a similar unit that could send me some pictures of the insides of the machine.
This unit was working great before this, and I do not want to have to replace it with a 5 year machine.

Can you post a picture of the machine? Specifically the timer?

Most Canadian machines Ive come across all have the same timer, and I have two wiring diagrams I can scan when I get home for you if the timer you have is the one I am thinking of.

Hello potatochips.

Thank you for your response and offer.
Here are some pictures of the machine and the timer.
The timer has a plastic connector and it is pretty hard to mess that up.
I am concerned that when reconnecting the wiring, I got the connections wrong on the relay in the back of the machine.
I am hoping that a wiring diagram will allow me to make sure all the connections are good to go.
Apparently nothing can be made so simply that some nit-wit can't mess it up.
The control panel is partly dismantled as I am still trying to do diagnostic and service.

Here is the wiring diagram from a 1983 machine, my 1989 is exactly the same diagram minus the extra rinse switch.
