I received my two pods in the mail today from filling out a form on Reckitt Benckiser website.
I had an 80% full load that consisted of dried on pasta and sauce, 4 dried up cereal bowls, a 360 Cookware pan used to boil the pasta, the sieve, the tongs to turn the garlic bread along with 3 ashtrays and several knives forks and 3 plates. And 3 or 4 coffee cups.
This motley lot sat, unrinsed, for 3 days. I never pre rinse. Never.
Using the eco sanctioned 3 hour long "normal" cycle, my overall rating on cleanliness and food removal would be an 8. One thing I did notice was lack of foam/suds in the main wash cycle as opposed to the regular Finish® tablets I have been using. For comparison sake, I snagged a bag of Ajax "pillow" pacs at my local Dollah General (solely based on price). They rate about a 7 overall as they do not remove dried egg very well at all. The power and free took off the egg from a USA made silicone spatula quite well.
The Power & Free clear spiel from the website is below:
Fights chemical residue 2x better than detergent alone†
Detergents feature a Hydrogen Peroxide action that powers away tough messes
Detergents contain no chlorine and use less fragrances and dyes*
Jet-Dry® contains less harsh chemicals vs. the regular formula
I have a coupon for 75 cents off I believe. I will try these again. Only the Cascade pods, as recommended by GE, perform better. But they do cost more per bag and naturally per pod.
