I'm not sure if this has been posted here before....

I stumbled across this video when watching other washing machine videos on YouTube. I just did a quick search for this washer.... apparently it's Swedish and the website says, it does in fact have a 2000 RPM final spin speed option.

It's just astonishing to hear!!!

The Video is nearly 11 minutes, so for those who might get bored waiting for the next thing to happen, here are the key time points:

0:00 - load balancing and quick short burst spin
1:05 - starts to spin
3:10 - ramps up speed
6:42 - ramps up speed again
8:07 - ramps up speed AGAIN!!
9:38 - coasting down, the ride is over.

ENJOY!!

Yup correctly, Asko Cylinda build a washer that can reach a max spin speed of 2000 rpm. Don't know if it is makes so much difference to the 1800 rpm AEG has and is rarly used by users because of some design flaw (or something else). Also Gorenje
has a 2000 rpm max spin speed on one of there washers. There is a video on Youtube as wel. Miele has also max 1800 rpm. Only Whirlpool/Bauknecht did't not yet reached spin speeds more than >1600 rpm

That´s right. I have the AEG washer you´re talking about and it´s quite noisy when the final spin is unbalanced. When bedding is washed in it, it´s walking away because of the vibrations.

Here´s a vid:

miele PW 6055/6065 commercial machines..

... having a same diameter drum as domestic ones, spin @ 1400 rpm max only vs. the 1800 rpm of domestic Navitronic.

I think the reason is a "bearings affair" as in the 1800 rpm Lavamats. They prefer have a longer reliability rather than a slightly higher spin performance. If it were worth they had put such speeed in commercial machines too
