Heated Question....
My present KA Superba(KUDS220T4) stops at the beginning of the cycle prior to the first prewash to heat the water to the proper temperature.
On my 'find' machine, I think I read in the manual that it actually continues to wash until the proper temperature is reached, then, the timer advances. Is that correct?
Also in my present Superba, the heating element is in the sump area. In my find, the element is exposed.
Now for the dry question:
In my present Superba, the heated drying portion actually has a fan that blows heated air around. I believe there is a heating device in the actual fan housing.
While playing with my Free find a bit ago, I advanced it to the drying portion and the exposed heating element started to get HOT. Am I correct in assuming that the way this machine dries is to get the heat from the exposed element and the fan simply blows the heated air around in the tub to dry the dishes? The fan assembly seems to be plastic, and I believe the fan in my Superba is housed in metal.
