I could do that, humming "Scarborough Fair" all the while, but then no one I know would eat the result. I hang with some very conservative palates at Thanksgiving.

We haven't made a turkey for holiday dinner in years and years. I guess I had my fill of it growing up. Prime Rib is the new turkey for us. And the dogs love the rib bones.

Re Ground Meat...

When I can, i buy chuck roasts on sale, usually 20 or so pounds and grind it myself with my Kitchen Aid grinder attachment, then package and freeze it, that way I know what I have , and I know its clean.
