If my memory serves me right, my GE washer did about 180 strokes/minute on the normal cycle. One thing that bothered me about it was that the agitator stroke was quite short, only just a few inches.. maybe about 10 degrees?
In comparison, the Whirlpool I had before that had a much longer stroke, it was an early 80's single speed machine. Part of me wishes I had just kept it, but I wanted to wash pillows and other delicate items without the machine tearing them apart.
I didn't really do my research before I had bought the GE. Had I known they had such a short agitation stroke, I probably would have bought a Huebsch TL instead.
