Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

"Run Toto!!!!! Run!!!!

He got away!!! He got away!!!"

Hate GE washers, dryers, and refrigerators.
I wonder what is going to happen to them since they too are now owned by Electrolux????!!!

Our 04 GE washer started having that wig-wag sound everytime the tub moved. I tried lubricating the tops of the suspension struts to no avail. Then for some reason I Had the front off and noticed the noise was comming from the bottoms of the struts. So I tilted the washer back and shot the struts from the bottom with white lithium spray. Noise gone!!!

I can only speak to GE refrigerators, specifically the Cafe Series..which i think appears, to my eyes, the best out there. Appearances only, i shopped it and it was just too pricey but otherwise fantastic.
That said i have a general bias against GE owing to the cheapo, chinsy, products sold to landlords or house flippers for their properties. These were all i saw or heard about until the Cafe Series opened my eyes. Vintage is a whole nother ball of wax, i'm referencing late 80's to later 000's.

GE post filter-flo still rnning

Mine is still going 15 years old now. They seem to be built tough when used properly. Yes, mine has knobs that don't turn when the cycle is running. It has a hefty motor and gearbox. It hardly ever failed. A few leaks here and there. It does slow down the agitation speed for the last few minutes of agitation during wash. It also starts fast spin on slow speed. I believe it has precision care technology. It has a push to start button also.

GE transmission

I've seen the GE transmissions and they were tiny. It seems the only part that lasted was the motor which was supposedly heavy-duty. Luckily, it didn't leak heavy oil everywhere unlike some of the people who commented on this designd Never mind if I revive this post. I have a Kenmore Elite by lg electric pair. I did expect the GE to cave in on itself. Yes, I did have a filter-flo set which I miss dearly.
