Would element WB30X346 work in place of WB30X357? 346 is still available and 357 isn't. Both are 4 wire elements and work with the 4" 6" 8" switch. 357 was used with the sensi-temp feature. Both look the same. I wonder if difference has to do with the support bracket and provision for the mounting of the sensi-temp sensor? First pic is 346 and second is 357.

sensi temp

Both definitely look like they could accommodate the sensi temp sensor, which I think was the only burner that used the 4", 6" and 8" burner options. Don't know for sure, but it looks like the center metallic thing in the middle of the burner could be removed to allow the sensor to be placed there. Didn't know the 346 was still available.

Yes, and No...

In my experience, both will interchange, just the holder for the press down on sensi-temp it takes a little work to fit...

However, I have enough experience that I wil tell you the ones in a GE bag from Mexico are junk.
They work, but they are the most shitty made as for as being level, both the coils and the brackets.

In my own General Electric Cooktop, I have replaced 2 in 47 years.
One 8, and one 6 inch.

One of the original with GE in a cardboard box, from Ebay,...the other from Mexico.

I filed and ground the supports to finally make it acceptable...and then I threw it out about a month later...
Paid the 50+ bucks for another old OEM in a cardboard box from the 50/60's.

Happy Happy Again,
