The other day I went to a man's house to replace the agitator on his GE washer. The washer is one of the newer models, the ones that have the four rubber straps on each corner of the tub as its balancing system. Well, I replaced the agitator and went to demonstrate the washer to the man so I could get paid for my work. Well, the washer filled, washed and pumped out. After pumping out it should have spinned but it didn't. It started agitating again without water in it. No spin whatsoever. I wonder if anyone here has seen this problem before. I have thought that the LGS spring may be rusted up or the clutch needs replacing but the man swore up and down that the machine had been spinning out just fine until I replaced the agitator. I suspect that he is telling me a lie and trying to con me into fixing something that I didn't tear up. Besides all of that, I never got paid by the man. Any suggestions? I can deal with not being paid better than I can deal with having my intelligence questioned by him.
