First thing i'm going to say it looks very similar to the WhirlTags as far as the control panel goes. The tub design does looks very neat, it almost looks like the type of tub design you see in LG waveforce washers. They are making 2 models that have agitators. One of them actually has a load size option. Reviewed almost makes it sound like GE is fixing mistakes other brands did. I will admit, this is interesting.

Here are the 3 models I found on AJMadison:

What company is building the GE washers?

I don't look very closely to their top loaders but do of the front loader.  The 4.5 Front Loader looks very impressive with tons of cycles.  Not that I would be interested in one...but I did not know what company is actually building them.

Someone on the club has the 4.5 set.  I can't remember who.

The GTW680BSJWS looks like a Samsung or an LG.

The GTW460ASJWW .. Looks like it has an agipeller with an dual-action auger?

I wonder if either one of these use a washing action like the new Whirlpool agipeller machines, where they lock the agipeller to the tub and then spin the tub back and forth during the wash cycle?

I have developed a fondness for GE, even with all the DOE regulations they make washers that still preform. The Hydrowave was better in terms simplicity when compared with the new belt drive Whirlpools. The only problem I have is the old agitator was not well suited to low water use, this new one piece unit might solve that.

I read the users manual for these new machines. It does state that it is an he machine and will use less water than an older washer. However they all have the Deep Fill feature which allows the user to add more water to any cycle. It says you hold it and it will fill, similar to the Reset feature on their previous washers. Sounds like a very versatile machine actually.

Warm rinse?

I am sceptical.

Simply because this seems to good to be true.
The washplate model (GTW680, remembered that on an instant) has options people were asking for every now and then.
It offers a true hot wash on Whites (at least, I understand the manual so).
It offers an automatic soak, settable to 15min, 30min, 1h, 2h, 4h or 8h.
You can use the Deep Fill function pretty much like an infinite water level control.
There seem to be some really well thought through cycles.
The Deep Rinse option is actually called Deep Rinse and labeled "Activate if you use fabric softner"; not just the Fabric Softner Option.
And, finally, it offers a warm rinse. A warm rinse - on a HE TL.

I mean, if they got that washer programmed as good as their manual suggests, those things could have a good future.

If this is anything like my 2013 ge, max fill is half way to the top. This is good for most loads, for mega loads I trick it fill a bit higher. It would be nice to have a feature that allows you to add more water by holding a deep wash switch.
