Help Support :

HMMMMMMMMM

After having read what has been written by the pro, I think I will steer clear of CLR and try the Brillo. It took me to long to find one in the shape "Rhea" is in to ruin the tub. I will keep you posted and post pics tomorrow. Thanks again for all of this very helpful information. It is all certainly very much appreciated. Best to you all who have offered or forwarded advise !!

Jim

I forgot to

mention that I did lock the wringer rolls apart as you suggested. It is very easy to do and undo. I hope tomorrow brings a non stained tub LOL.

I hope it works well for you, Jim! Good luck! Keep me posted on Rhea's progress...I love that you named your washer! LOL

Here's a picture of my new old stock E2LPS. It's an Oct 1983 model. I haven't used it yet...but I will some day, when the time is right... ;)

Yes,

I named her Rhea because my next door neighbor had a red trimmed E2 when I was growing up. My other next door neighbor had an old green Speed Queen that I would really like to find one day but doubt that I ever do. I am going to begin the Brillo process today and will take pics and post. Your NOS is a true beauty. I just wonder if you run her occassionally without washing in her? I am certain that there are very few if any like her around anymore. Shear BEAUTY !! Will post later today about my hopefull success with Brillo. Thanks again ! Nice Hoover 1070 also !!! I also collect Vacs.

Thanks Jim. Yes - we do have a few vintage vacuums around, too - Hoovers and Eurekas mostly. That's cool...your washer is named after your childhood neighbor. :) Yes - I plug the washer in every once in awhile and run it a little. One day I'll fill it up and wash in it... it's just kind of hard to pull the trigger on using it for the first time and taking the paper off the rolls. I have a J2L with red trim that I use sometimes and also an A50 Maytag twin tub washer with a matching dryer and stand.

After

a box of Brillo pads and much arm/hand work. The swirls really look bad in the pics but are hardly noticable to the eye in real. How on earth did I do this? I applied as little pressure as possible. Can these be removed anyway? Some were there prior to my botch job. Any ideas? Thanks !
