Yes, seriously. If it is 100 outside, your A/C will run of it is set at 90.
It is never 100 here, aside form the added humidity heat index, but when it is 90, it runs when set at 80 quite a bit. Like when it was 95 Friday.
Indoor humidity was down to less than 60 percent. That's the uncomfortable killer here, humidity. Basements stay cool, and those without central A/C use dehumidifiers. My folks never had A/C, but by the time they got home at night, the house had cooled down. They were big day trippers, and travelers. My sister put in central A/C when she moved into the house.
She was here on Fathers day, and said my house was warm. I had the a/c on 76, so I brought up my box fan from the basement for her. It was 89 degrees. I cooked out doors.
