Guess who's coming to dinner...

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Not it is time for the TA DA main event.

Off we go for a two hour drive south to Tucson to meet the un-holy trio.

...and who is going in the car you ask?

WELL besides these two who are spousal-unit on left and Toggle (dressed as fruit-sicle ice- pop) on right..

So our first leg of the trip was to see Nate's machines.

Here we are in the garage where Nate keeps his machines.

L to R:

Nate
Ross
Jim
Roger

This is truly a nice shot. Wonder what Toggle was doing to get them do smile dontcha?

Line them up and get me knee pads!

Somehow Ii missed getting pics of the GE filter-flo standard (small) capacity washer with mini-basket and matching electric dryer.. I'm sure Nate or Ross has some shots to post!

Ok now a quick diversion.

As you all know I love HVAC (heating ventilation and air-condtioning)and climate control in general, especially regional differences in building techniques.

So here goes.

Arizona.

Gas-fired furnace left and swamp (evaporative) cooler on right. Both are on the roof.

T he gas heater will probably work beter once the gas valve is opened. LOL Not too critical on this day in that it was 101*F. Lack of humidity makes it VERY comfortable. You don't sweat at all.

Flue pipe in front of gas frunace is gas-fired hot-water heater, pic to follow..

Domestic hot water heater.

OUTDOORS in a metal cabintet that I call a locker.
Guess what? These don't exist up north at all. Freezing hazard.

I'm guessing gas came to this area after the home was build as the gas piping is ALL outdoors and the stove and dryer are elecric...

Gas meter.

This would not happen back home. It is my understanding that it would not happen in today's Tucson either...

It is about three feet (1 M) from the curb..unprotected.

Roger's place.

we also saw some fabulous Kitchen Aid Dishwashers.

And a great 30 inch wide turquoise double-oven Frigidaire flair range.

I will go back just to get a sample of how it cooks. YUMMY YUMMY!

Roger's place.

And for some unknown reason I dont have many pics of Rogers' Maytag washers and spinner..

but here is one I do have and do like..
(Maybe I was too busy gorging myself on the yummy lasagne.)

There were four potential reasons here for me to lose my virginity. (Nate BTW was in the Kitchen.) Which one took it you ask? The Maytag with the suds-saver of course. My first time! .. UH WHAT DID YOU THINK I MEANT?.. OOOH YOU JUST NASTY.. LOL.
