A good customer of mine brought a 24" Kenmore Laundry center to me to sell. This thing looks cherry-almost brand new looking. The thing is, when the dryer heats up, the fan shroud seems to rub on the fan and makes a bit of a racket. I've only taken it a part and put it back together again about 100 times today. I'm thinking I can do two things-
Get some more of the foam air seal and put thin washers betwwen the screws, to provide additional clearance between the shroud and the fan,
Take my big mallet and pound out the shroud a bit where the fan is, so it won't rub.
I sure am open to other suggestions.
This machine is so clean and nice I can't help but to wonder if it hasn't been this way from the get-go.
I see no evidence that the machine was bashed in or dented.
This one has me really baffled!
