Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Yes... Okay...
You know, you started with saying that you do not want a front loader because they have issues, , not sure exactly about issues you're talking of.....for me they simply would not get clothes clean like a "regular" agitator top-loader would do, if you refer about problems of reliability and or functioning, well, all relies in choicing a good one, both if they're front loaders or toploader can give you problems...
Said this, since I think that bravos (non agitator HE top loader) would not get clothes as clean as a front loader would do, and surely not how a regular agitator top loader would do, this while possibly giving mechanical related problems, then, If I really would have to choose among HE machines, I would surely rather go for a front loader.
Also, I do not usually (alomost never) rely in customer reviews....I think too often are tricked and piloted by interests of sellers and manufacturers....

I might have found some...

I did research and looks like i found a frontloader. I really don't care about built in water heaters....

Maytag: MHW3000BW

Whirlpool: WFW70HEBW

Still doing more research on these.

before considering a front load i have heard that toploads a

HELP! Help me pick a new washer

OUTCH!Ponctuation/capitalations/spelling/over 30 word phrase...Make a point. Had to read it 3 times. At the end... same old suggestion...

I'd go with Maytag then.............

Doesn't everyone (anyone?) realize that "Maytag" as a company, no longer exists?

Today's "Maytag" is only a REBADGED WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT (if a top loader anyway) nothing more!!!

Quote.....

That's what I said Kevin, I agree totally with Kevin! Not sure if you skipped or you now hide my posts when we told about this....
If that is case you'll never read this post also...
With this new thing of hiding membersI don't know those who did or not....would be nice to know those who did, at least you know and avoid such situations...

P.S
Another little "warning"
Similar is for amana, some amana machines used to be made by Speed Queen (raytheon on partnership with SQ actually) , but as far as I know today Amana are all made by Whirlpool ( sold to Maytag in the 1997 then acquired by whirlpool in 2002).
I would never want to see a former Speed Queen made Amana owner going for a new Amana thinking to get the same machine as the previous one, or at least same company...
But this is what happens all the time in these situations.....and is the reasons they keep offering these names....
That is unfair, amd sort of misleading...but fault of careless consumers...[this post was last edited: 3/26/2014-17:36]

No hiding here............

Sorry, I must have missed where you said that Freddy.

= = = = =

I guess it's because I know what the name "Maytag" used to mean / stand for, etc. But I will never buy any newer appliance with the Maytag name on it. Why bother? Since it's a Whirlpool I'd rather have the Whirlpool name on it, instead of pretend it's something it's not.

No problem Kevin, thanks for letting me know...
And could not agree more with you on your statements! I find it pesky too, but as we said, as long as you have "unaware" consumers, let's use this adjective..... They will continue use the Maytag name!
But it could have gone worse....just think if instead of Whirlpool it was the GE buying it, at least whirlpool use to give a little more quality generally...
In any ways, it just irritates me how they keep labelling exact same machines with different names, and still amaze me how people just can't get this, if consumers were smarter these situations would probably never take place....

Yes, it's nothing but a Whirlpool, though! Amana, Roper, Kenmore,Maytag etc...as you know, really does not make a difference, so if you seek for a BD machine just look for one of these brands...

The only advantage I see in the "sub-brands" like Amana, Roper etc..is that generally they have much lower prices than their "famous" name labelled identical twins...
It's like for products in discount chains, for example, the hot dogs I get at the discount store are just the same of the Famous Italian brand Wudy Aia, if you read production plant address is the same one of the famous ones and taste, ingredients and everything is identical ( they are Wudy Aia hot dogs)...but Wudy Aia labelled hot dogs sell for 2.50€ at the regular supermarket....the Tobijas labelled discount brand for 99cents....
How a name can make a difference....in these cases you only pay for a stupid name...adverts and all the rest is concerned with it.

And what makes me laugh hard, is that I met folks that then says haughtily kinda disgusted: "me??? I'd never buy those " no brand" hot dogs from a discount, who knows what stuff in it"..... Just Exactly the same of the ones for wich you pay more than the double for a name on the package..
Then they hate you for proving and letting them realize how silly they're......[this post was last edited: 3/26/2014-17:28]

New Maytag Laundry Appliances

Yes are essentially the same as WP, but the MT line is getting a lot of attention from WP and MTs will often be the best buy, WP has announced to dealers that New Maytag laundry will now come with a TEN YEAR WARRANTY on major components, and pricing on some models is now designed to keep people from taking a 2nd look at the junk coming from Korea.

Based on what washerdude has said in this thread I would buy a SQ FL washer, or the Canadian equivalent, 2nd choice any WP or MT FL Washer.

2nd choice any WP or MT FL Washer.

Hey John, are the new Maytag branded FL washers actually made by WP or are they still rebadged Samsung (or whatever they were) like a few years ago?

Thanks!

Kevin

New Maytag Laundry Appliances

Hi Kevin, New MT FL Washers, are all made by WP most in Clyde Ohio and I believe some are still made by WP in Mexico, none are German and None are Samsung any longer.

WP did continue to sell a few full sized Samsung built machines under the Amana name after they took over MT, but they got out of sourcing full sized laundry from SS as soon as possible. WP however did continue the 24" compact MTs that were SS built until only about 2 years ago, thankfully that is also ended.

I have often lumped LG and SS together, but I diffidently now think the SS appliances are worse than LGs and that is not an endorsement for LG. Many LG FL washers seem to be doing fairly well, but the matching dryers are junk. The LG DWs are also the shortest lived DWs you can buy, and don't even get me started on the cheap LG refrigerators.
