I've never been one for hard liquor, but I do like a Margarita when eating at a Mexican restaurant, or lounging by a resort pool. And once a year the "alumni" of the bar I used to work at get together and have a shot of really good tequila in the owner's memory, but that's about it.

Ooo - and Baileys and Coffee at Christmas. That's always nice.

Other than that, I mostly drink wine. (Good for the heart, don't ya know ;-) and the occasional beer.

My partner hardly ever drinks - leaving me to feel like the lush in the family - but when he does, he likes VO and other brown liquors, which I have never understood the appeal of.

Ralph,

Your post gave me an idea. Instead of an olive in the Meyer Lemon Drop, I'm gonna put a Meiwa kumquat on a toothpick and stick that in the glass!

Photos to follow next time I imbibe!

So enticing, I can almost taste it--what a sinfully gorgeous

To answer your query, Laundress:

All of the above and preferably all on the same day

Thanks Mickey, but please practice moderation.

In any case, perhaps "Bloody Nellie" would be a better name for a drink made of gin and SanguiNELLI blood orange juice.

And although it was almost as tasty as it looked, tonight I've gone back to the Lime Drop. Juice of about 2 limes per glass - loaded with vitamin C. Perfect way to fend off both the winter chill and the winter blues!
