Great Pics.......

Hey Rob

Ya really needed more than a week !

And...

OMG Soflan!! im sure I remember mum using that when I was a nipper lol!

Seamus

Seamus, yeah as said earlier Softlan was a UK Softener often used by my Mum when we had the Candy Domino 4 and money was tight and the 20p or so difference made a difference to a shop instead of getting Lenor. Thank god mum had sense to demand Ariel everytime though. :) (im not aloud to bitch I know but no wonder money was tight with that piece of crap on the blink all the time :) . There it is a wool detergent. Mike, as much as the Tag cleaned way better than the LG I didnt want to play around with the Tide we used on the towels incase using it brought me out in the rash I get sometimes. Would rather be at home with supplies of Benadryl and use the Tide on controlled loads of washing where I can identify whats been done. I saved it for a weeks worth of work stuff. It did a great job and no problems! LG did a reasonable job of rinseing too for a change without something Lever in it :) :) The pigtails were cooked by some rather freaky road side barbecue vendors where you take the food back home. Nicer idea than the usual fast food muck here. We wanted to get a real experience instead of restaurants everynight which were good granted but limiting to fish and usual cuts of meat. i have made my mind up about next years destination. Solo to Egypt so I can do all the stuff Sarah refused to let me do last year. 2 weeks in Sharm on a beach didnt do it for me cos I cant sit still for more than 20 minutes lol! Rob

Rob, Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Did you go out in the water near that giant rock at the beach or were the currents too dangerous? I am surprised that the water supply/waste treatment system would permit top load washers, but maybe they are not into ecological concerns yet. You need to wear good UVA & UVB sunscreen to preserve your youthful good looks. Fair skin and sun do not mix well at all and the skin always loses the match. Was that part of a banana plantation in the "view from a country road" shot? In a few short weeks, all of my tropical plants will have to come inside and live under special lights until late April. Maybe global warming will allow them more time outside. It's not so much that I mind winter, but tropical scenes like you were so kind to share with us make living someplace like that for part of the year seem attractive. Thanks again. Tom

Yep a BobLoad. I'm not sure you left any of the space needed for the pop-up tower from the bottom wash arm. did the top rack come clean?

Bob

Yeah the pan in the top rack didnt clean very well, I did wonder about it only having 1 wash arm. Could not remember what had been said here about loading these machines. Pop up Tower? How does that work? What does it look like? Have to admit they are very noisy machines. More noisy on normal than my Bosch Hotpoint on Intensive and didnt seem to clean to the shine mine does on a 50deg Econ wash -maybe due to the longer cycle on mine which soaks more than jet away and heating water up than using hot water from the household supply. Was not keen on the plastic tub lining either. Somehow seemed not right to me :) :) Rob

Tom

yeah I hardly tan as it is. Got tad of colour so not too bothered. Used Piz Buin apply once a day factor 30 for 2 days then onto factor 15 lol! That was some kind of banana growing plot but didnt appear to be commercial. Was someones garden by my eye. Dunno? Fruit trees everywhere though. Limes apples bananas and sugar cane. Lots of Aloe Vera too. I didnt go out into the sea by the rock. Strong a swimmer as I am its not worth the risk and the rock did look like it could fall at any time! :) Crane beach offered some great surfing opportunites.

Rob, the pop-up tower was in the very middle of the wash arm. That's what all that 'stuff" is there, why it's not solid cover. Because the rack is so full, I cannot see it, but there should be a "ring" in the bottom rack you load around so as to allow that open space for the tower to pop up and spray water on the top rack. SS tubs aren't available in US dishwashers for bottom of the line machines.

Ring

no was no such ring from what i remember, very odd. There was 4 tall loops of tines in a row but not in a ring. Very odd machine if you dont mind me saying. Not much like a UK Machine. American ones roar so much, you really hear the water inside rather like a commercial one here. I liked that to some extent. Just wanted true heated water. Glad i experienced one though. All Uk machines have stainless lining regarding price here. Whats what got me. The lining always looked wet and didnt dry. I felt it was a touch unhygienic not drying like steel does. Maybe me? :) :) :)
