Beautiful!

1964 sounds about right. The seller is correct, it is not intended to stand alone. It is not a "slide in", but is a "drop in" (modern society does not seem to understand the background and meanings of those two terms).

If you have a 30" wide space, this one will fit. But will need a base to raise it to counter height.

Nice find and good price!

Paul!

You're right! A "Town & Country"! This was one of the most wonderful Hotpoint ranges of the day! The home I ran for 34 years had two of these side by side in the kitchen! We had a matching double wall oven near by! I sure wish I'd kept pictures of that kitchen! Greg

When I was in high school, my older brother got married and bought a house. That's the exact same range that came with the home. He still has the house and still has the wife, but the stove is long gone. He and his wife were both teachers and took long summer vacations. I would stay at his place for the duration which was great when you're a teenager...party time!

Stove

I live in the Wichita area as well. This is listed on Facebook Marketplace.

Sounds like you almost would have cabinets set up just for this stove. I wish I had a place to put this until I had a house ready for this beautiful stove.

Great to hear memories this stove brought back!

I don't see a flange on the side to hold it up and you wouldn't want that cooktop jutting up above the counter. What about a base cabinet under it? At least from photo 2, it looks like the edge of the cooktop is flush with the trim strip going down the side of the range at the front, but it might be the lighting. It was a very high-style, but economical way to give a kitchen the look of a built-in range with more capacity than either a Terrace Top by WH or the Mark 27 by GE.

The range in my brother's house was a drop-in. Of course they could have made free-standing too.
